  INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations to our very own Paul Curran on reaching the final of the Downpatrick Snooker League Individual Championship. Unfortunately for Paul and Q’s, he couldn’t match the form which seen him defeat  reigning champion Gary McMaster (2-1), Colin Flanagan (2-1), Billy Watson (2-0) and Damien Rice (3-1) in earlier rounds. Paul was naturally disappointed with his own display in the final against Michael Flanagan, losing 4-0, but nonetheless he, and all of us at Q’s, can be proud of his achievement.

 

 PRESENTATION NIGHT

The Downpatrick Snooker League annual presentation night will take place in Justine’s Restaurant, Downpatrick on < xml="true" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" prefix="st1" namespace="">Friday 20th April 2007. Tickets cost £15 each (£2 extra for steak lovers) and names/monies should be given to Paul Curran or Patrick Smith as soon as possible. Q’s will be picking up the Toals Cup at this function and Paul will receive his individual s runner up prize/cheque. A good night’s craic with music afterwards with Justin Morgan.

  LEAGUE FUNDRAISING BALLOT

 Q’s have an allocation of 100 Ballot Tickets to sell in advance of the draw which will take place on the presentation night. Ballots cost £1 each with prizes on offer of £100, £50, £25 and £25. This is the main source of fundraising for the Downpatrick Snooker League and Q’s members/players are asked to play their part in selling and buying tickets. Tickets will be distributed to Q’s league players and will also be available for purchase in the club.
