Overview-
Q’s was established as a family business in January 2005. The Club was named after Hugh Moreland. Each of the partners is either a son or grandson of Hugh.
Since opening the club has achieved so much. It has increased the popularity of snooker in the area as well as bringing players with high profile as Ken Doherty, Joe Swail, Alex Higgins, Jimmy White and Steve Davis to Castlewellan.
Recently current World Snooker Champion John Higgins made a visit to the club. With him was the World Championship Trophey. VIP ticket holders got to meet with John for a Buffet in the Coffee Dock Cafe before John called in Savages Bar to pull a pint.
Q’s summer league has been established as an annual event. A Q’s snooker team also has come about and are now a well known name in both the Lisburn and Downpatrick Snooker Leagues. We wish the players the best of luck in this and future seasons.
